Why Thanksgiving is Important

     Why is Thanksgiving important to you? Well, it is important to me because it is a time to be with family, to give thanks to God, and to EAT!!! On Thanksgiving, my family and I always spend the whole day together. Sometimes we will spend the day at home,  go to my nana's house, or go out to eat. Sometimes my cousins, aunts, uncles, and I will all talk and have a good time. However, when it's time for us to leave, we always say goodbye and leave. Before we leave, I always bring a little left overs to take home.

     

     Giving thanks is a big part of Thanksgiving. I am thankful for a lot of things in my life. I am thankful for my family, friends, and pets. Some other things I am thankful for are my house, my education, and my iPad. Wherever we are, it is always a time to give thanks to God.

On Thanksgiving, one of my favorite things to do is to eat. My aunt and Mom will make a big turkey and then my nana will help out with the stuffing. Then, while the turkey is cooking, they will make the homemade macaroni and cheese, mash potatoes, green beans and then the corn. When the food is all done, we will get our food, we will have a seat, and then give thanks to God for our food. Finally, we will dive in and start eating. That’s my favorite part.

     Thanksgiving is such a wonderful holiday to spend time with family, to give thanks to God, and to EAT!!!
