Hole’s essay

     “Excuse me!” If you did not know, that is something from the book “Holes.” The book and movie “Holes” are both very different. Some of the things that make them different are Stanley's looks, Stanley's house, and where Miss Katherine was when Sam died.   

In the movie “Holes,” one big difference is the size of Stanley’s house he got. In the book, it was described as a plain house with a laboratory. However, in the movie, it was a giant house. I like the movie better because it was easier to picture the house. I think they made this change to make it look more interesting and cooler to look at. Stanley's house in the movie is amazing!

     The second difference between the book and the movie was the rain.  At Camp Green Lake it hadn't rained since they killed Sam, but when they found the treasure it started to rain. In the book, it rained at the end when Zero and Stanley were in the car. At the end of movie it rained at camp. I like the movie better because you get to see the excitement of all the campers at camp. I think they made this change so you can see the reaction of everybody.

     The last difference is where kate was when sam was shot. In the book, she was on the boat and in the movie she was not on the boat I like that she was not on the boat because she was running and looking for Sam and it made it look more dramatic. I think they made this change to make it look more dramatic and also make it look like she was really worried and she could not find him. Either way I liked both ways.

     Overall I really like the movie and book holes. But I think my favorite one was the movie because all of the pictures and it was easy to picture.
