                                       Why Thanksgiving is Important

Jackie's alarm clock buzzed like a fire crept into his room. He rubbed his eyes and sat up. All he could see was his clock and the calendar. He raised his arm up is if he was answering a simple math equation, then he whipped his hand on to the clock. He slid down back into his warm thick covers and went back to sleep.

It was about ten when he was awoken by a thundering voice saying his name,               ”Jackie!”

Alarmed at the voice, Jackie sat up and whipped his head in the direction the sound came from. It was his brother,  Ezekiel. Ezekiel loved to bother his older brothers. However, since Jude was at college, he only had Jackie to annoy. Jackie wasn't surprised that Ezekiel had yelled in that thundering tone.

“Jackie, it’s THANKSGIVING get up!” said Ezekiel.

“Nooooo,” Jackie said in a sleepy voice. Jackie always hated Thanksgiving since he was five. His dad ran away when he was five. Everybody talks about how Thanksgiving is a time where you spend time with family. Jackie hasn't had a rightful Thanksgiving since he was five then.

“Get up! Auntie May is here!” Ezekiel shouted.

“Fine, if it will make you stop yelling,” Jackie moaned. He went down the stairs and by his surprise, It wasn’t Auntie May. It was his Dad! Jackie ran so hard he almost tripped himself. Jackie leaped up and gave his dad a big hug and almost suffocated his dad.

“Did you think I would be gone for forever?” said Jackie's dad.  Jackie didn’t care how long he waited. He loved his dad so much that he couldn’t speak. He finally spit out some words.

“At least you’re here now, ” Jackie emotionally whispered.

Jackie’s mom cooked while the other members played football. They let Jackie and his team win.

“That was the best Thanksgiving ever, Dad”, said jackie to his Dad while he fell asleep that evening.
