Montana Geography

Imagine watching the sunrise over the great big mountaintops and hearing the wind rustling the lush evergreen trees. You feel a cold chill while you're standing on your front porch. This is the the feeling you will have relaxing in Montana. With a cold climate and a lot of precipitation, Montana has amazing lands and beautiful mountains. I think Montana is one of the most beautiful states. They have amazing mountains that tower over you and beautiful vast plains so you can see for miles.

the great plains

One of Montana's land regions is the Great Plains. The Great Plains extend from Canada to New Mexico. The Great Plains is 2,500 miles long and 400 miles wide. The Great Plains cover two-thirds of Montana. There are many animals that live there, including racoons, rattlesnakes, lizards, prairie dogs, and weasels. The Great Plains are mostly vast, dry grasslands. They have many rivers a few of which are the Arkansas river, the Canadian river, and the Missouri river. Most people that live in the Great Plains live on the northern side. Mostly, they moved to this region for the mining.

the rocky mountains

Another one of Montana's land regions is the Rocky Mountains. It is one of Montana's biggest attractions. There are many parks, ski resorts, and national forests. The Rocky Mountains are made up of amazing big green mountains. The highest peak is 13,000 feet high and is called Wheeler Peak. The Rocky Mountains are 3,000 miles long and 350 miles wide. They go through Canada and the United States. They are said to be the biggest mountains in the United States.   

Conclusion

Our world has such irreplaceable beauty and is undeniably outstanding. Montana is a great example of that. Montana is lush, amazing, and there are plentiful rolling hills and great big plains. When anyone goes to Montana they always want to go back.
