Why Thanksgiving is Important

 

    Thanksgiving is a very important holiday. I love spending time with family. One activity we do is play uno. My youngest cousin Chloe loves to play uno with us. Another event that I do is I cook with my grandmas and my mom. I make my great grandma's special fudge recipe. One Thanksgiving my cousins and I pushed each other in a wagon, and we went down a big beautiful green hill. Last year we even played tug of war. It was kids vs. adults and the kids won.

     We have some old traditions. One old tradition is we play tag. A new tradition we have is tug of war. In my opinion, it does not matter where we are or what we're doing. It only matters who you are with. I hope my family will keep some old traditions and make some new ones.

     Finally, my family and I can just relax and eat some food after a long day of play. We all line up for food and then we all have a seat at the table and give thanks to God for the nice day. We usually have not seen other family members in a couple of months, so it’s a great time to talk and catch up. Even though I love the food I love spending time with my family even more.
