      My Own Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is all about spending forced time with random uncles and cousins that you haven't seen since the day you were born. The real reason you sit down at a small dinner table with relatives you haven’t seen in a decade is the food and football. Now, before the feast you watch the Thanksgiving Day parade that your family forces you to watch and then you go in to the dinner table and see all the food you can have for leftovers.

Now let's look at stereotypical “perfect Thanksgiving” of course you have the huge turkey in the middle that's gone by the time it’s the next Thanksgiving, you have the egg casserole, mashed and sweet potatoes, bread rolls, the really peppery corn, and of course pumpkin pie.

Now if your wondering how my Thanksgiving goes, it's not that interesting. We either get someone from my dad’s side or my mom’s side. If it's with my dad’s side we have Thanksgiving at our house, and on mom’s side we have it in Texas. We like to talk about recent stuff, finish our food, and then watch football. I told you it's not that interesting.

Then after all of that, everybody gathers in the living room and watches the football game while I get to be alone for a while. Then we all gather outside for pictures that have our cousin moving in it and takes like 2 hours just to take pictures. But one good thing about Thanksgiving is the second it's over, it's Christmas time. But I still think that Thanksgiving is a great holiday, a lot of fun, and a good way to spend time with our families. Happy Thanksgiving.
