St.Maximilian Kolbe

Hello, my name is St.Maximilian Mary Kolbe. I was born On January 8,1894 in Poland with the name Raymund Kolbe. During my early life, I had a vision of Mary giving me two crowns that represented purity and becoming a martyr. I accepted them both.
I followed Jesus by joining the Franciscans at age 13. I changed my name from Raymund to Maximillian Mary Kolbe. I founded an army called the Militia Immaculata, I became a priest and promoted Mary, and I established many monasteries throughout Asia. I also helped 2,000 Jews hide from the Germans by hiding them throughout my monasteries before being sent to Auschwitz.
I died at an Auschwitz concentration camp on August 14, 1941 because I gave up my life for someone else. I became a saint on October 17, 1971 by Pope John Paul II. My feast day is August 15. I am the patron saint of Prisoners,drug addicts, families, and pro-life movement.
