Imagine you just got done hiking and sat down on the edge of a cliff. Looking out above the beautiful mountains of the Cascade region you see the towering Mt. Rainer and breathe a sigh of relief. Washington state, named after our first president, has properly the most beautiful sites of any state in the country and it is a really good place to relax. Washington has so much to offer land wise because it has the dry desert of the Columbia to the lush and large mountains of the Cascade mountains and the tall skyscrapers of Seattle. The climate of Washington is one of the wildest climates in the world. Don't forget the huge amount of precipitation and snowfall each year.Washington is properly one of the best places to go in the west and if you want to go on a nice relaxing smooth vacation go to Washington.

Washington is located in the western or northwest part of the United States. Washington is bordered by Idaho to the east and Oregon to the north.Washington is on the west coast along with California and Oregon.Washington is the 18th largest state compared with other states with 71,298 square miles.

         Washington in January is usually 42 and in July it's usually 65. The highest it's ever been was in grant country with 188℉ on July 24 1928.The lowest it's ever been was at mazama with  -48℉ on december 30 1968.The yearly precipitation of washington is about 38 to 42 .some climate facts about washington are that in the coast its marine(cool and wet) In the Highlands or the middle the climate varies with elevation , and in the east its hot summers and cold winters.(Continental)

The Olympic Mountains

The Olympic Mountains is in the northwest part of washington.It borders The Pacific ocean and the Puget Sound Lowlands.The tallest peak in the Olympic Mountains is Mt.Olympus at 7,965 feet above sea level.The Olympic Mountains is mostly the Olympic national park.A lot of The mountains have been touched for hundreds of years and is one of the wildest places in the united states 

 The Puget Sound Lowlands

  The Puget Sound Lowlands has Three-fifths of Washington cities one of them is Seattle one of the of the most famous cities in the states.The Puget Lowlands is bordered by The Coast Range Olympic Mountains, and the Cascade Mountains.These lowlands extends into British Columbia and southward Oregon.The valley of the Chehalis River is also part of this region. This valley also extends into the Pacific ocean.This region also ha the Puget Sound which is a huge bay almost completely enclosed by land and covers the North central part of the state.The Strait of de fuca  connects the Puget Lowlands to the Pacific ocean The San juan islands is part of the Puget Lowlands and has 4 islands and all of them are accessible from ferries.About Three-Fourths of Washington's populations lives in the puget sound lowlands.

 

The Cascade Mountains

          The Cascade Mountains is in the middle of the state separating the east from the west.Right in the middle of the region there is a long range of mountains that stretches from British Columbia into northern California.A lot of mountains in this region and a lot of them are volcanoes. One of the tallest mountains in the states is Mt.Rainier at 14,410 feet is this region.Mount St.Helens which violently erupted in 1980 is also in this region. Some more very tall mountains in this region are Mt. Adams (12,307 feet). Mt.Baker(10,778 feet) . And Glacier peak(10,541 feet)

Washington has so many remarkable places to go like Seattle, San juan islands, Olympia, Tacoma, and Spokane.If you want  beautiful breathtaking sites i highly suggest Washington.Washington is more than just Settle or Mt.St Helens its towering mountains with beautiful forests and dry desserts with beautiful landscape. Here is something from the state song that I think sums up this essay  “There’s peace you feel and understand In this beloved land”.
