                Why Thanksgiving is Important

     I think Thanksgiving is Important because that is when you spend time with your family and friends. The food is always so good. On Thanksgiving Day, everyone comes home to enjoy the holiday. We play games and always have a delicious meal. It’s a time to eat and have fun. My family always celebrates by watching the Thanksgiving Day parade, having so much to eat, and playing lots of games. During Thanksgiving, it’s a good time because you are getting off of  work or school. I love spending time with my family during Thanksgiving.

     My dad always gets off work on Thanksgiving and he always has a big surprise for my sister and me. While my mom bakes the turkey, my grandma makes the best mashed potatoes and stuffing. We have Thanksgiving to give thanks to God and all he does for us. I love making a big leaf pile and jumping in it. It reminds me of all the memories I loved about Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is when we give thanks. So I give thanks to my parents for all they do for me. I love it how my whole family bakes at least one thing for Thanksgiving. I love what my family does for my sisters and me.
