Holes Essay

Have you ever wondered if the movie or book is better? In my opinion I like the movie better because It has more action and drama and makes the movie better and better. The movie has a lot of big differences than the book.

One of the biggest changes in the movie “Holes” was where Kate was when Sam died. In the book, Kate was in the boat when Sam got shot. In the movie, Kate was running trying to warn Sam but before she got to him Sam got shot and died. In my opinion I like the movie better because It has more drama whenever Kate tries to warn Sam. I think that this change was made to show the audience that Kate was rushing and running to save Sam.

Another big change was Stanley’s weight. In the book, Stanley was supposed to be this really big kid. In the movie, Stanley was a very tiny kid. I like the movie better because In my opinion I don’t really like when the main characters are always so big. I like when main characters are mostly a little small and a little bit tiny. I think this change was made so that the main character is not so big and fat. Also, If you have noticed this or not Stanley is very overweight.

Also, Kate and Sam kissed inside instead of outside like they did in the book. When a woman came out of the store she saw Sam kissing Kate.
