     Thanksgiving is Important Because…

Thanksgiving is important because it is a time where the whole family can eat and spend time together. Family members that you can’t see often can come over and eat. My family usually eats, and then we play card games such as monopoly, uno, and go fish. We have about ten people come over. Some of my dad’s friends come over, too. We have a great time.

      My mom usually spends the whole day cooking for Thanksgiving. I help my mom with the cooking and getting the silverware ready. My jobs are keeping an eye on the food and getting the tables ready.  My mom and I also go to the store the day before.

       Thanksgiving is also a time of rest. We can get a few days off of school. It is a time when we can just get come rest. It is also a time where we get to see our parents more. It has been a long time since we got a break. Thanksgiving is very important.
