North Carolina 

Geography

       Imagine your at the beautiful beach with the calm ocean with everybody laughing and having a good time . This is what life is like in North Carolina. Think of the beautiful sea that changes to mountains and rich farmland and having a nice lukewarm day. This state has three land regions: the mountain region, Piedmont, and the Atlantic coastal Plain. If you were to visit this North Carolina, you will not regret going there.

Basic Facts

      North Carolina is located in the southeastern region of the United States.  Three states border North Carolina. These are Virginia to the north, Tennessee to the east, and South Carolina to the south. North Carolina covers 53,819 square miles, making it the 28th largest state. It stretches 505 miles from east to west and 190 miles from north to south.

      With mild winters and very hot summers, most of North Carolina has a temperate marine climate. During the year, North Carolina has an average temperature of 48℉ to 80℉.  The highest recorded temperature is 110℉ and the lowest is -34℉. North Carolina gets about 50 inches (127 cm) of rainfall each year. North Carolina is very hot in the summer. Hurricanes usually hit every few years. Sometimes there are results of 35 deaths and billions of dollars in damage. The western mountains are probably the coldest parts of North Carolina.

Mountain region 

On the west side of North Carolina, there is the Mountain Region. The mountain region covers about ten percent of the state’s total area. The main mountains are the blue ridge mountains and the smoky mountains, which rise about one mile. The valleys at the bottom of those mountains have great farm soil. The trees there make very thick hazes. Mount Mitchell is the highest point in North Carolina. Mount Mitchell rises about 6,684 feet (2,037 meter’s). The mountain region is nice place to go to for peace and quiet.

Piedmont Region

​The Piedmont region is east of the mountain region. The Piedmont region covers about 45 percent of North Carolina. Streams cut through valleys near the coast. The Piedmont region has the most manufacturing industries. This region has very rich farmland.

 

Atlantic Coastal Region

The Atlantic coastal region is on the eastern side of North Carolina. This region covers 45 percent of North Carolina. Over a million years ago, the ocean used to cover the Atlantic Coastal region. The Atlantic Coastal region extends from New Jersey to South Florida. Swamps, shallow lakes, and moss hangs from the trees. It also has very Rich farmland

 

Conclusion

When one considers graceful and attractive it is clear that North Carolina is a very amusing place to visit. North Carolina is warm and there are lots of fun things to do. It's amazing to see how beautiful God's creation is. Take a minute and just think of the beach, the mountains, and wildlife.
