Holes Essay

      Did you now that the main character Stanley Yelnats last and first name are are spelled backwards?This essay is about the changes of the book holes and the movie holes. Stanley never had to dig for water, Zero never said to the attorney that he stole the shoes, and that Sam kissed that Katherine inside are big changes.

      One change was that Stanley did not dig for the water on God’s thumb. In the book, Stanley dug for the water. In the movie, he found the water laying there. I think the book did it better by showing that Stanley has learned things in school. One change is that Stanley did not have to dig on the mountain for water. I think the creators did this change to save time.

     Another change is that  Zero never said to the attorney that he stole the shoes. In the book, he said to the attorney that he stole the shoes. In the movie, he said nothing to the attorney. I Liked the movie better because, if he said something he might have had to stay there and could change everything. Zero never said to attorney that he stole the shoes is one major change. I think the creator did not show this because showing this would be a waste of time   

    I think the biggest change is that Sam kissed Katherine inside. In the book, they kissed outside. In the movie, they kissed inside. I like the book better because it would be more likely for someone to see them so it did not change, that kissin Kate Barlow became a famous outlaw. I think the creators did this changed for more dramatic effect. when Sam kissed Katherine inside is a big change.

Big changes are Stanley never had to dig for water, Zero never said that he stole the shoes to the attorney, and Sam kissed Katherine inside. I think that the movie done had some good changes and the book did to.
