My Own Thanksgiving

Everyone likes Thanksgiving and has their own traditions. We always go to our cousins’ house for Thanksgiving and have lots of fun. So here is our latest Thanksgiving!

When I woke up to my mom saying, ”Get up we have to pack!” All I could reply with was, “for what?” Realizing it was Thanksgiving, I shot up feeling the cold air and retreating back into my blankets. Eventually, I did get up and started to pack. I made sure to get everything I wanted (clothes, chargers and other things). Before I got in the car to drive all the way to my cousins house, I said goodbye to my pets. I have a dog, cat, and snake and they’re very cute. My dad said the drive should be about 3 hours and I groaned because I hate long drives. When we got about half way I saw the most amazing view from the top of the bridge. There was the sun on the horizon reflecting off of the water making a bright orange color.

When we got to their house, I was really excited to get out of the car and say hello. We got a very warm welcome from my cousins. There was Lexi who had dark brown hair and a kind of deep voice and Lesi who had blonde hair and a very soft nice voice. I said hi to them and collapsed and fell asleep. My Mom woke me up about 30 minutes before Thanksgiving dinner. I went outside and heard a football being thrown around and saw my brother and my dad playing football and asked to join in. They let me join and I scored a touchdown, but I didn’t win. My mom told us it was time for dinner and when  went inside I could smell the sweet smell of pumpkin pie and I rushed in. There were big turkeys, ripe tomatoes, and multiple scrumptious pies. I ate until I couldn’t anymore and then I fell asleep. When I woke up my mom forced us to brush our teeth, say good-bye, and get in the car to drive back home. That was my Thanksgiving.
