Saint Josaphat
Hello, my name is Saint Josaphat. I was born in 1580 in Poland. When I was born my name was John Kuncevic. My parents were Orthodox but later became Catholic.
During my early life I worked as merchant until 1604 when I became a monk and later a priest. I followed Jesus by being a monk, priest, and bishop. I also tried to establish the union of the six Orthodox bishops and the Roman union. There are many miracles attributed to me. One of the miracles was that the assassins who killed me turned to Catholicism after my death. I died as a martyr on November 12, 1623. I died a brutal death to an angry mob. I was canonized in 1643 by Pope Pius lX. My feast day is November 12.
I am the patron saint of Multiple Polish and Ukraine churches.
