The Time I Snuck Out at 3:00 am at Joey’s Birthday Party.

       It was 2:37 a.m. and I was playing Fortnite. I thought, “How about we go out to the arcade.”

Gamble and Landon both said, “Yeah,” but Landon said that he would only come out if we texted him. So we crept to the door and went into the lingering darkness. We heard the grasshoppers, smelled the fresh dew, and saw the obscurity of the lush forest.

…

        Going into the arcade, it smelled of freshly cut wood and was very loud because of the melodic humming of the arcade machines. At 2:57, we were waiting for Landon’s next text response.

[Ronan]-Come on out the arcade is all set up.

[Landon]-Show me so I know you guys are not just pranking me.

[Ronan]-Ok

         I tried video calling him but there was no internet. I had to tell Landon in person. I went to the house and crept inside and said, “Landon come on!”

Landon and I both turned to Joey, “Are you going to come?”

Joey replied, “No I'm good.”

Leaving him behind, we crept to the door and went out to the arcade and had some fun.

         That was a day that I will never forget.
