Going to the water park

As I walk into the waterpark a strong smell of chlorine hits my face. I hear kids and parents screaming with delight. I see my brother and his friends Keegan and Noah run off somewhere.

I say to Papa, “Where are we going to put our chairs?”

He responds with a shrug.

As I look around, finding a chair doesn't seem that important because on all the slides there are height limits. I run to go find chairs. Finding two that are open. I run over to them before anyone else can. Once I get over there, I realise I don’t have a towel. I put one shoe on each. Then I run to find Papa and finally find him at the towel exchange.

I say to Papa, “Where did you go? I found two chairs.”

He responded, “I was gettin’ some towels.”

OW! the ground feels like little prickles against my feet. As I run back, I see a big slide. It is orange and round. I see my brother and his friends in the line.

I yell at him, “HI!’’

They ignore me.

I think to myself, I'm going to go on that slide. I see a purple slide, a green slide, and a yellow slide. I am going to go on all of them.

            “Hurry up!” I tell Papa.

He responds, “I'm going as fast as I can.”

I run to get a tube. I get a two person one. It is yellow and blue, and smells like rubber. I walk over to the height limit sign and I see that I'm tall enough and I'm happy. I smile, seeing Ava and Georgia Kate and waving to them. They wave back. I start to walk up the wet stairs, the stairs hurting  my dry feet. I look around wondering where Papa went. I see him, waving to him to hurry up. I run up the stairs all the way to the top.

I say to Papa, “Hurry up there's no one in the line!”

After 1 minute, he gets to the top.

I say to him, “Wow, everyone looks like ants!”

“Yeah they do,” he responds

Papa has to sit in the back when I sit in the front. The slide is dark and cold but fun. I see a hole of light and I know we’re at the end. Once we get out, I see a big sight, saying, “Papa we're going on the Big one next”

I smell food, making me hungry.

Once we get to the top of the Big slide Ryan joins us because we need at least three people to go down the slide. When we get on the slide, it is cold and wet. When we go down, Papa is sitting backwards. It is flat and then there is a Big drop which leads us to the part where we go in a spiral until the end.

At the end, Papa says, “It is time to go. Ryan, you need to go get your friends.”

I respond, “Okay, I'll go get my towel.”

I walk over to the chairs, shivering. I’m freezing. I think, quickly grabbing my towel. I wrap it around me then I put my shoes on. Papa walks over to grab his towel.

He says, “The boys are going to meet us at the entrance.”

I say, “Okay.”

As we walk over to the entrance, I feel my dry socks against my wet feet. It feels weird. Frowning, I wrap the wet, prickly towel around me. Before we go, we have to give our towels to the towel exchange people. We meet the boys at the entrance and then go through the arcade to get to the door that leads us outside. We run through, the cold air rushing against us to get to our rooms.
