                                      Why Thanksgiving is Important

Thanksgiving is important to me because it is a great time to give thanks to God, spend time with family, and eat warm, tasty meals. It is very important to give thanks to God, as well as spending time with loved ones.I remember when I was little, my teacher was reading us a book about it. The book was about the Pilgrims, making a feast to share with the Native Americans where they thanked God for their bounty.

It is very Important to spend time with family. My Mom makes the fluffiest mashed potatoes, along with creamy macaroni. While the food is cooking, my brother, my cousins, and I play tag, hide and seek, or corn hole. We love each other. We also play fetch, with my dog.

Eating tasty meals is wonderful. My favorite food is probably the turkey. It’s so good. I always fill my plate with macaroni, green beans, turkey, and mashed potatoes. The warm feeling of the food makes me feel loved and warm inside.

Thanksgiving is important to me because I love praising God, spending time with family, and eating the warm, tasty food. I like the smell of all the scrumptious food and the love from my family. Happy Thanksgiving!
